Suwon International Photo Festival is an annual documentary photography festival that takes place in the city of Suwon,a creative and cultural hub with an abundance of artists and ideas. Suwon Photo is the only independent photo festival in Korea it is run by a group of trailblazing photographers who value the freedom of expressionin the festival’s remarkable exhibitions. Suwon International Photo Festival was founded for organized and efficient pan-Asian International cultural exchanges. The international photo festival consists of several major events like international documentary photography exhibition,solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, portfolio review, screening, workshops, lectures, and walking withartists on the Suwon Hwaseong fortress. Exhibitions of 200 photographers’ works from 30 countries will be held in 5 outdoor and 30 indoor galleries around Hwaseong fortress, a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. This festival will provide participants with unique opportunities to meet professional photographers and to learn various aspects of Asian culture through the documentary photographs.
